Winter Parks

Loni Beach Sports Park
Located on the west side North Colonization Road in Loni Beach, the northern end of Gimli.

This park is for the sports orientated visitor as it comes complete with baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and a huge toboggan hill for great winter fun.

Camp Morton Park
Located along HWY 222, 5 km north of Gimli, along Lake Winnipeg.  A warm-up shack will keep you toasty after you cross-country ski the "monkey" trails that wind in and around this provincial park and campsite.  Pincherry Trail is 3.9 km in length, and the Fox Den Trail is 1.1 km long.  There are no snowmobiles allowed on the Camp Morton trails, but it is accessible by snowmobile from Gimli via an old rail line that stretches from Diageo to Camp Morton.  Still unmarked on the Rail Trail, the turn-off to the cross-country ski trails is McElerhan Road.
